My grandfather was Milton Huffstutter, a partner with Tom Tankersley in
They were in the ambulance service undertaking business and opened a funeral parlor.
In 1926-1927, their first motorized hearse was delivered and the event
was captured in the attached photo.
This hearse looks like a Nash to me. Can you confirm this?
Milton Huffstutter is the hatless man on the left.
Respectfully, Ray Huffstutter, Suwanee, GA
The Club feels this is a NASH, of 25 or 26 Vintage. Being an Ambulance,
it would have had to be a special order from the Kenosha WI factory.
WE've found that Obion, TN is now a part of Memphis, and there was a NASH dealer in Memphis:
1917-29 Erwin-Hicks Motor Car Co. 939-945 Union Ave. Memphis TN,
and we suspect this is where the NASH was ordered and shipped to.
